When thinking of building a home, most buyers will spend a lot of time researching a building company. They will talk to other home owners who used the same builder, look up information on the internet, compare plans and pricing, and a host of other things. However, many do not consider one very valuable component in the building of a home, and that is the superintendent for the builder. The superintendent is really the key to the success of the entire project from start to finish.  Just a few of his responsibilities are meeting with the home owners to establish the home’s location on the lot, supervising the grading, and the pouring of the slab (or basement). He will also meet with the home owners and agents at various times for scheduled walk throughs and onsite meetings to discuss the various phases of construction. His oversight will insure the quality of the all work and materials provided by suppliers and subcontractors.
